On July 28, 2023, the 31st FISU World University Games opened in Chengdu, Sichuan. In the lead-up to this grand event, a total of 917 pure electric buses equipped with Jingyi new energy air conditioning systems were put into operation. The 917 sets of new energy bus air conditioning systems serving the Chengdu FISU World University Games are equipped on various models from CRRC Times Electric Automotive and Chengdu Shudu Bus. These are all Jingyi KBPY-BH series products, which are popular globally with a market presence exceeding 50,000 units. The energy efficiency ratio and cooling-to-weight ratio of this air conditioning series are at internationally leading levels. The condenser adopts a face-on arrangement structure to enhance heat exchange efficiency. It features a high-strength aluminum alloy casing and strong anti-electromagnetic interference capabilities. The 31st FISU World University Games (Chengdu FISU World University Games) marks the fifth time China has hosted the World University Games and the fourth time in Mainland China, following the 2001 Beijing Summer Universiade, the 2009 Harbin Winter Universiade, the 2011 Shenzhen Summer Universiade, and the 2017 Taipei Summer Universiade. It is also the first time a world comprehensive sports event has been held in Western China.
